I turned 21 last Friday. Some of my older friends have warned me, that as soon as you pass the 21 mark you have to start watching what you eat; you can't chug down donner kebabs and retain your svelt elfin physique because it just goes to your belly and stays there. Luckily for me, this seems to have been working in reverse, and where once I was a pasty with pasties for legs, I am now a reasonably normal shape.

Best birthday present ever - an electric double bass. I have been pining over these things for about two years, and now I have one, and it is just the sex. It looks like a six-foot cricket bat with strings. You play it, and it sounds like a sexy tiger. Friday was the happiest day of my life, ever, ever. I have called her Nigella.

Matt, want to come round sometime next week?
